Free Pattern Friday: Gratitude Quilt by Amy Smart

Free Pattern Friday: Gratitude Quilt by Amy Smart

I don't know how things are looking in your neck of the woods, but here in Utah fall is in the air. The leaves are starting to change up in the mountains and the mornings are brisk and cool. I love this time of year! It is so gorgeous outside and not so oppressively hot so we can spend time doing fun things and appreciating the beauty.

Another thing I love about this time of year is looking forward to fun things to come. It kind of feels like the rest of the year is packed with family gatherings for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. September is when I like to start working on my holiday sewing so I am not stuck rushing to finish projects amidst the craziness.

I love this beautiful tutorial that Amy Smart of Diary of a Quilter made, hand embroidering words that she is grateful for on each plus square.

GRATITUDE QUILT TUTORIAL

Precut friendly, using charm packs and layer cakes or yardage, this beautiful quilt is easy to modify to get the size you want. With a finished size of 54 1/2" x 54 1/2" its the perfect throw quilt. I love Amy's different versions to show how versatile the pattern is depending on the feel you want.
