As you know, the majority of the fabric I sell is from Moda. Well, recently they have made some changes to their website that I think everyone will find helpful. For example, they have this one great area labeled “FUN STUFF” which is packed with useful tips, tools and even free patterns.
Have you ever wondered what Tertiary color is? Or maybe what Stippling is? Moda has created this fun Glossary section that defines most of the terms used in the quilting and sewing world. One section I think that is particularly useful is the Basic Setting Size Chart. Have you ever stressed about how to figure how many and what size of blocks to lay out for a quilt of any particular size? This Basic Setting Size Chart will undoubtedly ease that stress!
My personal favorite is the Quick Reference Guide. This handy page tells you how much yardage is needed for quilt backing as well as the standard bed and batting sizes. So check out their new site and let me know what you think.
